This means either your password or user id is incorrect or your account has not been setup in the system. Double check that you are entering your credentials correctly. Be sure there are no spaces after your email or password.
I will get the same response Missing or invalid credentials for all interactions (clone, push, etc). I had tried various solutions without success. I can still generate a repository password and use git clone (for example) from the command line, copying in the password when prompted. Not really ideal.

I was able to fix the issue by changing the "-d" to "--data-urlencode" I think my username / password / client / secret values contain characters that need to be encoded. Also, I tried to do this with a standard user and a community user. The standard user makes use of securty token.
